Following a recent survey session in Newtown & Heatherlands, local residents in Carlton Grove pointed out the need for “No Through Road” signs at the entrance from Albert Road to stop drivers turning in, thinking they could get through, only to have difficulty turning round.
Newtown & Heatherlands council candidate and Branksome West ward councillor Marion Le Poidevin emailed Poole Council’s transportation department the following day and got a reply from an officer saying that they would work to get signs put in place.
Less than week later and the new signs were added. Local residents contacted Marion to thank her for listening to their concerns and resolving the issue.
"This highlights how important these survey sessions are at identifying issues local residents are having. If there are any other issues you would like to see resolved then do not hesitate to get in contact. We are the only party that Demand Better for Newtown & Heatherlands," said Marion.
