The Poole Liberal Democrats have announced their candidates for the local elections in May. Standing in Parkstone will be Grant Gillingham and Crispin Goodall.
Grant Gillingham is a hardworking campaigner who is passionate about improving transportation across the conurbation as well as providing a strong voice for local residents. Grant is a history graduate who has worked in a variety of industries. In 2018, he served as the local party's chairman, becoming the youngest in its history.
Crispin Goodall is a graduate of Oxford Brookes University and an award-winning book designer who previously owned and ran a graphic design company. He is married to Jeanette and lives in Parkstone. He has been active in the local party since 2015 and helped out during the 2017 general election. He is passionate about the environment and protecting local green spaces.
Our team have set out their key priorities for the ward:
- opposing the hiking of car park charges by the Conservatives which has negatively impacted local business owners
- improving road safety and enforcing the 20mph speed limits across Parkstone
- protecting local green spaces in Parkstone to retain their beauty and provide a welcoming environment for residents and tourists alike
